
Billy Smith returns to Cisco after 23 years of producing theatre in Wyoming. Billy performed at the Roof Garden Theatre in Cisco in 1980 & 81 and is excited to be back! Billy is the Director of Theatre at Cisco Junior College where he will be teaching theatre and music as well as producing a variety of performing arts events. Billy has directed over 50 major productions and has had 6 different shows selected through adjudication as regional showcase winners by the Rocky Mountain Theatre Association (more than any other 2 year college in the history of the RMTA). Billy’s directing credits include such shows as: Chicago, A Chorus Line, Tommy, and Passion. Billy developed the first musical theatre program of study and Associate of Fine Arts Degree in the State of Wyoming. He has a Masters Degree in Theatre, a Bachelors Degree in Vocal Music, and he has performed in numerous plays, musicals, and operas. He plays banjo and guitar and has performed with many ensembles including bluegrass, rock & roll, and folk music. Billy collaborates with his wife, Colleen Smith, on many of his artistic endeavors. They co-direct and choreograph a great deal of their work together and enjoy this collaborative process.
